Welcome to Scottish Country Dancing
in White Rock, British Columbia, Canada
Enjoy
fellowship and fun in a warm friendly atmosphere at
the White Rock Scottish Country Dance Club. Scottish
Country Dancing is social dancing that is also
excellent aerobic exercise. Learn the steps and
formation of jigs, reels and the stylish strathspey.
Bring a friend or come by yourself.
To enhance the elegance and beauty of Scottish
country dancing, ladies should wear skirts and men
should wear kilts, slacks or dress shorts. Soft comfortable shoes are recommended.
We dance from early September to the end of April on
each Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. Beginners
join the rest of the Club members from 7:00 - 8:30
pm, there is a short break between 8:30 and 8:40 pm,
more advanced dances are taught between 8:40 - 9:30
pm and advanced dances for those who know the dance
are danced from 9:30 - 10:00 pm.
