The White Rock Scottish Country Dance Club celebrated the success of Canadian athletes in the 2010 Vancouver Winter games by decorating the hall with Canadian flags, wearing red outfits and forming 5 interlocking circles representing the Olympic rings.  Teacher Maureen Lyon devised the dance "Olympic Glow" especially for the occasion and Maureen was awarded a gold medal for her untiring dedication to teaching classes and workshops and devising dances for the Club.  The evening was capped off with the cutting of a maple leaf decorated cake.
